Guidelines for SOF Level 2 Olympiads
Exam Date and Time

Exam Date and Schedule:

The second level Olympiads will be conducted on 11th February 2018.

These will be held for:

  • SOF International English Olympiad (IEO – Level 2)
    Time: 11th Feb 2018, 9.00 am to 10.00 am
  • SOF National Science Olympiad (NSO – Level 2)
    Time: 11th Feb 2018, 11.30 am to 12.30 pm
  • SOF International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO – Level 2)
    Time: 11th Feb 2018, 2.00 pm to 3.00 pm

Specially Designed Practice Papers for Level 2 Exams are Available

General Information:

  • 2nd level Olympiads will be held for all students (from classes three to twelve) who qualify for the 2nd level.
  • Syllabus for second level exams will be similar to first level exams – the level of difficulty is expected to increase. For specially designed practice paper, please visit http://OlympiadHelper.com.
  • For students qualifying for the second level, address of venue of exam will be finalized by end Jan and uploaded on site and shared with their respective schools.
  • The exams will be pen and paper exams with multiple choice questions. There will be no negative marking.
  • Students qualifying for the second level do not need to register again, nor pay any registration fee to appear in the second level Olympiads.
  • Students will need to carry their admit cards to the exam center. Admit cards (carrying address of venue) will be provided as under:
    • Will be sent to schools.
    • Will be uploaded on site
    • Students may also use their 1st level admit cards.
  • Two copies of admit card for each exam need to be carried to the center with color photographs pasted and duly attested by the school principal.

Rule and Regulations:

  • Students must report at the allocated exam center at least 30 minutes before commencement of exam.
  • Two copies of admit card for each exam need to be carried to the center with color photographs pasted and duly attested by the school principal.
  • Students will be allowed in the exam hall 15 minutes before commencement of exam to enable them settle down and fill in their particulars in the OMR sheet.
  • Student will not be allowed entry in the exam hall 10 minutes after commencement of exam. No extra time will be provided to such candidates to complete the exam.
  • Student may leave the exam hall only after completion of exam time. Student will not be allowed to leave the exam hall while the exam is in progress, without the permission of the invigilator.
  • Student will be given 60 minutes to complete each exam.
  • Student may use the question paper for doing rough work.
  • No student is permitted to carry any textual material - printed or written, bits of paper, calculator, mobile phone, any electronics device etc. in the exam hall. There will be no provision at the exam center for safe keeping of these material and students may make their own arrangements for safe keeping of their personal belongings.
  • Admit cards and pen / pencil only will be permitted in the exam hall.
  • Any candidate found using unfair means may be expelled from the examination center. In case use of unfair means is found after the exam is over, the result of the student(s) may not be declared and they will not be eligible for any award or certificate.
Exam Centers

Approximately 500 centers are being finalized across the globe for conducting the exams. Address of venue of exam will be finalized by end Jan and uploaded on site and shared with their respective schools. Students must reach allotted centers at allotted day and time to write the Olympiads.

Admit Cards

Admit cards for the 2nd level Olympiads will be made available in 1st week of Feb 17. The admit cards, in duplicate, will be made available to students as under:

  • These will be couriered to respective schools
  • These will be uploaded on site and
  • These will be sent to schools.

Instructions:

  • The admit cards carry details of venue and time of exam.
  • Students may collect their admit cards (in duplicate) by either of the above modes, paste their color passport size photographs on both copies and get them attested (signed & stamped) by school authorities.
  • Students must carry both copies of admit cards to the test center, where one copy will be retained by the center.
  • Student may not be allowed to appear in the exam center in the absence of an attested admit card with photograph.
  • In case of non-receipt of 2nd level admit cards, students may use the admit cards issued for 1st level exams. They may take a black and white photocopy of the 1st level admit card, affix their passport size color photographs on both copies of the admit cards, get these attested (signed and stamped) by school principal and carry both copies to the exam center. PARENTS / GUARDIANS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED ENTRY IN THE EXAM CENTERS.
