What is Cut-off marks?

Cut-off marks is the minimum marks below which you will not be selected for next level of exam.

Scoring equal to or above Cut-off marks means you have been selected for next level, and getting marks below Cut-off marks means you have not been selected or qualified for next level of exam.

IMO 2017 Level - 2 Cut-off Marks

The International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) level 1 exam was conducted on 5th and 14th December 2017.

The qualification criteria for second round

The cut off marks are applicable to determine top 5% students class wise qualifying for the second level, to be held on 11th Feb 2018. In addition to above, students achieving following ranks also qualify for the second level Olympiads:

  • Class toppers, where at least 10 students from a class appeared for SOF IMO and
  • Top 25 rank holders, class wise, from each Zone.
  • In case student’s total marks are more than total cut off marks above, she/ he will qualify for the 2nd level, without referring to section wise marks.
  • In case student’s total marks are less than total cut off marks above, she/ he will not qualify for the 2nd level, without referring to section wise marks.
  • ​In case student’s total marks are equal to the total cut off marks above, section wise marks will be considered to determine 2nd level qualification
  • Note:
    • Exam Date: Level 2 Exams will be help on 11th February 2018.
    • Level 2 Exams will be a paper based exam like level -1
    • No Level 2 exams will be for class 1 and class 2 students
